Walsh College welcomes WWJ Newsradio 950 as broadcast sponsor for its Third Annual Small Business Conference on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Detroit College’s Novi campus. WWJ will sponsor additional sessions in the afternoon for business start-ups. Morning sessions will focus on sustaining and growning existing small businesses.
Conference highlights include:
• Results of two extreme small business makeovers
• Breakout sessions feature timely topics important to small businesses
• Luncheon speaker Jim Hiller, president and CEO, Hiller’s Markets
Along with the breakout sessions presented by area experts, the morning session will feature results of the 2009 Small Business Makeover on Achatz Handmade Pie Company and Infra Corporation. The two companies were selected after last year’s conference to receive $50,000 of services from Makeover sponsors. Applications and details on next year’s Small Business Makeover will be available at the conference. Additional highlights include lunch speaker Jim Hiller, president and CEO, Hiller’s Markets.
In recognition of the economic climate, ticket prices are reduced to $25 for Walsh alumni and partners and $50 for all others.
